Nestled in the heart of lush surroundings, Bundaberg Aged Care Residence prides itself on well-appointed facilities and personalised care options. We ensure every resident receives the support they need to thrive, fostering a sense of belonging and comfort.

We are currently seeking experienced and capable Catering Team Members to join our care team in a Part-time capacity (37 hours per fortnight). The ideal candidate will demonstrate commitment to a high standard of work, whilst ensuring consideration and person-centred care is always provided to our Residents.

  • Assist in the preparation of meals according to set menus and dietary requirements.
  • Ensure that food is plated and served at the appropriate temperature and consistency.
  • Plate meals accurately and aesthetically for residents, taking into consideration any specific dietary restrictions or preferences.
  • Serve meals to residents in a timely and courteous manner, ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas before and after use.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in dining areas, including tables, chairs, and serving stations.
  • Dispose of food waste and garbage properly and ensure compliance with sanitation regulations.
  • Adhere to safe food handling practices and maintain cleanliness in food preparation areas.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including HACCP standards, and maintain accurate records related to food preparation, storage, and serving.
  • Strong customer service mindset with empathy for the elderly.
  • Knowledge and adherence to Work Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Experience as a cook would be beneficial.
