“More than just a job” is the motto of Elderly Care Facility Manager Nithin Shetty. With his positive attitude and commitment to excellence in Care. Having worked in the hospitality sector, including 5-star hotels, Nithin has the perfect blend of service and care skills.
“I really enjoy mentoring my team,” Nithin says. “My purpose is to serve our seniors and look after my team.”
Nithin joined in 2021 as Facility Manager at Bundaberg Aged Care Residence. But his experience in the Aged Care sector began well before. “I love the dynamics in the Aged Care sector and interacting with the residents – plus, I still get to play cricket on the weekends!” Nithin says.
Having gained experience as a Facility Manager at several Aged Care Residences in Southeast Queensland, Nithin was excited to take on the significant task of commissioning Williams Landing. “I’m grateful to be given this opportunity”, he says.
Nithin’s team of experienced carers aim to provide all the warmth of a family home in the kind of accommodation you would expect in a 5-star hotel. This is supported by a diverse multi-disciplinary care team, including a Clinical Manager, Registered Nurses, qualified Carers, and an enthusiastic Lifestyle Team.
“This is a very special project, and I’m committed to making it a wonderful experience for our new residents and a successful launch for the whole team,” Nithin says. “We have been working tirelessly for the last few months, and we have a great team and strong support.”
“I feel blessed to have a job that keeps me motivated to do positive things. The most rewarding part is when you receive a smile and gratitude from our residents and their families.” Nithin says.
