We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef Manager to lead our kitchen team in delivering nutritious, high-quality meals to our aged care residents at Toowoomba Aged Care Residences. This is a Full-time (76 hours per fortnight) rewarding leadership role where your culinary skills and compassion will directly enhance the lives of others.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Food Safety Supervisor responsibilities
  • Lead and inspire a team of kitchen staff to deliver exceptional food service.
  • Plan and prepare meals that meet dietary and texture-modified requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, and WHS standards.
  • Manage kitchen budgets, stock control, and supplier relationships.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative kitchen culture.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery – essential.
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (current)
  • Proven experience in a similar leadership role, ideally in aged care or healthcare.
  • Knowledge of texture-modified diets and nutritional needs of older adults.
  • Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
