Chef Manager – Aged Care
Point Vernon Tricare Aged Care Residence provides a calm and welcoming setting with coastal views and modern outdoor spaces designed for relaxation. Our 80 bed residence is part of a close knit Fraser Coast community. We are seeking a committed Chef Manager who brings strong culinary skill and genuine care to our aged care kitchen, helping to deliver high quality, nutritious meals that enhance the daily experience of our residents.
This rewarding leadership role calls for a dedicated and experienced Chef Manager to guide our kitchen team in providing nutritious, high-quality meals for our residents. Your culinary expertise and compassion will make a meaningful difference to those in your care.
Key Responsibilities
- Food Safety Supervisor responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a team of kitchen staff to deliver exceptional food service.
- Plan and prepare meals that meet dietary and texture-modified requirements.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, and WHS standards.
- Manage kitchen budgets, stock control, and supplier relationships.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative kitchen culture.
Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery – essential.
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (current)
- Aged Care Experience preferred
- Proven experience in a similar leadership role, ideally in aged care or healthcare.
- Knowledge of texture-modified diets and nutritional needs of older adults.
- Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
